Cross-posting this to both the Rio Kickstarter and Ask Jam IGG:
I'll keep this brief but wanted to give everyone a heads-up on where things are. Got back from winter travel and ended up being laid out for what felt like forever. Multiple crying babies on a plane are nobody's favorite long-distance airplane companion! ><
Rio: Sorry things have been a bit slow. Learning a new system is never as smooth as you think it's gonna be. At this point, I think all but a handful of international people have been shipped out. Big thanks to Fulfillrite for their speedy shipping!
If there's a problem with items in your Rio order, send a PM on Kickstarter with preference for return or exchange. Missing items and exchanges will be processed and in the mail after all the Ask Jam merch gets labeled and shipped to Fulfillrite.
Ask Jam: Been packing random items into little baggies and printing SKU stickers...the most tedious part of the process, and one we hope to reduce/eliminate in future crowdfunding projects. Currently transferring SKUs into Fulfillrite's database and shipping various pledge items to Fulfillrite's shipping house. Still have more to pack up and ship out but am hoping to start transferring orders to Fulfillrite in the next week or two, and shipped out once all the merch arrives at their place.
I will be going through the [email protected] email to check for addresses that need to be updated before the Ask Jam IGG orders ship out.
Jam's Talent Show and the Rio comic are currently still in-progress, I do not have more news on either digital reward at this time. I will update here when I know more!
Hoping to have at least all the physical rewards completely shipped out by the end of the month, but if needed, future updates will be on the first of the month (unless major news comes sooner). Very tricky to hit the balance between "not enough updates" and "too spammy," ha.
Thanks for bearing with us while we iron the bumps out of integrating with this new system. We have a lot of fun things planned!
Shipping Changes

Hello all, I have been away for a bit longer than anticipated. Mixed news on the shipping front, as I realized partway through packing the last (large) batch of Rios that I had forgotten to enclose the extra rubber feet for his base...

So after UNpacking all of those boxes and trying to figure out which had the extra feet packets, and which were missing them, I also realized that the bag of extra feet kits were misplaced...

And then prep for conventions had to happen, and now that all that's over, I'm back.

So I have decided, in the interest of moving this process along much more efficiently, I'm going to be handing off the whole rest of shipping to a professional fulfillment company. The one I've picked is associated with BackerKit and they have a big staff of people so the process should be a heck of a lot smoother than one person trying to do everything mostly alone. :p It's a bit more cost to us, but MOUNTAINS less stress. Plus, they're definitely cool with everything we do (I asked) so future shipping for future projects of any kind will also roll right along. :) If you also participated in the Ask Jam Indiegogo, they'll be handling all of the shipping for that too.
What does this mean? I will be spending this week and next week making a big batch of new feet kits, then making sure that all the fulfillment items are properly labeled and shipped off to their facilities. If all goes well EVERYONE should have their packages shipped out by the end of the month. There are less than 100 people left to deliver items to, which sounded like a total breeze for the size of shipping facilities they have available.
If you are one of the people whose order has not yet shipped and you need to change your address, I can manually change it before I send the info off to the fulfillment company if you let me know via PM by Tuesday, December 15. I have had a couple packages get returned to me as well, so I will be contacting those people in private shortly.

P.S. The digital comic has not been completed so don't worry, you haven't missed it! Miu has been back and forth being sick so has not been able to work on much story-oriented content. Hoping to have it ready to go by January. I will be out of town from December 20 until January 19, but I'll be checking in, so if I can access the system online I'll make sure to get it to you folks as soon as Miu makes it available to me. :)
Shipping Updates

1. I'm averaging about 10-20 packages per day that are getting mailed out. Aside from Sundays, of course, as there is no mail pickup on Sundays. All packages are shipping via USPS so you can check your tracking number on their website: www.usps.com
I'm not really sure how international tracking works once it passes outside US borders, so please ask your local postal service for more information.
2. I can't answer questions about where any individual order is in the pile of boxes or when it will ship out. If it has already shipped, you will see a tracking number in your Backerkit notes and the status should also be changed to Shipped. If there is no tracking number and not marked Shipped, then it has not shipped.
If you have not answered your survey (there are still about ten of you out there!) I can't send you your items, so please check your e-mails.
If you have not been receiving the reminders I've been sending, please visit riofigure.backerkit.com and you should be able to send yourself another survey link.
3. The digital comic is not complete yet. We will be posting here when it is available, and how to download it. Miu has been sick recently so not available to work on art, but will be showing previews when it's getting closer to done. :)

More Goodies Arrive, Last Day on Ask Jam IGG

So for those of you who keep up with Miu's side, he's been a bit wrapped up in getting some things prepared for the end of the Ask Jam IGG that's currently running. It ends tonight (midnight EDT I believe) so at this point he's coming to Pittsburgh around June 24 and the massive shipping exodus can finally begin.
On that note, the big stacks o' posters have finally arrived, and they're looking quite lovely. :)

However since it's so close to AC there is currently not a pickup at con option available for the books (since we're not 100% sure the books will arrive in time, or even early enough that we can ship them all out before the con...making a big push to try, though). Plenty of stuff to check out!
Current goal is to ship out all Rios and Rio accessories before the convention as I believe we do have everything on hand at this point except the postcards, and they're already on their way here as well (delayed due to bad weather, according to the tracking number).
