Just wanted to share a few more pics of the manufacturing process as the project progresses. Got these from the factory, and I admit, I never really thought about the construction of the parts *inside* the figures before!
Lend me your ear and I'll sing you a song~
Give 'em a hand. Or several hundred.
There's a joke in here somewhere about "waisted" opportunity but it's 2AM, I'm beat. <XD
Hope to have some news about a more definite delivery date for you all soon, it looks like things are progressing well so far. :)

Hello all! It's been a heck of a winter season so far and I'm back to report in. Unfortunately due to some communication problems with the factory in China we weren't able to get the figures finished in January like we'd hoped. However, progress is being made, deposits have been sent, scheduling has been ironed out (I think), and we're on our way!
Fleshy! Early testing of the vinyl molds plus the molded plastic insert for the packaging.
First box prototype! Caught a few errors (like the Rio logo) so now waiting on the second draft sample from the factory.
It's kind of exciting as a creator to get to see these production stages since it's like...things are actually happening and it's going to be real very soon! Exciting times!

Hello all! Well we've got most of the surveys in so far...looks like poster #3 is a popular choice. :) Not surprising! I still see about 60 more folks who need to answer their surveys, so if you have a question or are having trouble, please let us know ASAP! Don't forget to check your spam filters if you can't find the Backerkit e-mail.
Here for you this week is a little peek behind-the-scenes at the factory. With my original sculptures completed and shipped overseas, the factory workers do a final surface polishing and dismantle the figure into moldable parts for production. Here's a shot of what it looks like as they paint the sample models...in graphic detail, eep! <XD
The carnage! The horror!
Looking forward to the next few weeks for sure! :) Updates will be less frequent for the next few months as I'm getting married this December (there's a LOT of last-minute everything to get done), but I'll try to keep everyone posted about Rio and Nero as often as I can. Until next time!
